@firemaplegames just downloaded the game, pretty impressive, much better than the the previous installment.. when you said friend you meant sheep right, i remember you said he's good with words.
@ultima: No, different friend, one I have known since college. I did fly Quantum Sheep out to help write parts of the game. He also game some amazing gameplay critique that totally changed the game (and all future games) for the better.
Its really great to see a member of the community (i know its not a GS game) get recognition as a developer for making a great game. Graphics, game play and the overall theme/feel are so important for making an 'experience' which you sell to people. I did Grisly with my lad aged 6 and it was great fun playing and solving togther.
Congrats on the sales - now you can pay off whatever debts you built up while making this game (unless you did it in your spare time whilest having a job - i that case give up your job)

Joe, this game is definitely one of my favorite iOs games, period. My kids absolutely love it. They are always begging me to play it with them and they fight over who gets to pick up items. I am so happy for you, man!

Joe @firemaplegames : I've been continuing to play The Lost City again (still not finished) and I'm compelled to write that there are strokes of genius, it's safely the best adventure game I've every played and that you deserve every ounce of success you are getting. Wondrous stuff.

My son is really into creepy magical things lately (he carries a wand with him everywhere he goes!) If he could summon spider season with his wand (a chopstick I painted black) I think he would!
