Rejected Kindle Fire App review

I just received a Kindle Fire Test Results Notification email from Amazon on my latest update of my GS game. The version was submitted after being published with 0.9.9.1; but this is also my 1st Kindle Fire review from Amazon. Amazon had always approved previous versions of the same game for Android; but never anything related to Kindle Fire. I own a Kindle Fire and the game works fine on it. The game is always in landscape mode; but the rejection was a 2 part rejection as mentioned below:
"Upon completion of our compatibility test processes, your app was found to be unresponsive when subjected to testing. Users may not be able to navigate past the level select screen because the application often does not respond to user input. To be compatible with Kindle Fire, the app’s core features must be responsive to user commands, and its primary functionality accessible and compliant with device specifications.
Also, the app displays in landscape mode while Kindle Fire’s soft-key bars are displayed in portrait mode. If the app is in landscape, the soft-keys should also display in landscape mode. Please see the attached screenshot."
Not sure what to do about this rejection. They are correct. The Kindle Fire home menu buttons stay in Portrait mode and don't change to landscape. Also, the menu touch response to select levels are hit or miss. Usually I have to touch them a couple times on the Kindle Fire before the scene changes.
Thanks in advance and great job on Kiip interface. I really love it.

Kindle Fire review is hard to get through. Our App did pass the first time and we have many many interactive touch objects and never had any problems. What I do know about the Kindle Fire Store is that Amazon is very selective about the content and from what I've read when they don't like your app they throw some glitch stuff at you for a reason of rejection. We have a major brand and they recognized that as the books our apps are based on are sold on Amazon and they linked them together, so we did have some clout going through the process.

@Tshirtbooth if you don't hear back after like 7 days send them an email from the developer portal. They will start a case file for you and it helps push it along.

I just ad hoc a game on the kindle and sorry to say the performance is really bad...distortion, delay and choppy as you can get. My game does have a lot of fast motion and particles which in i think is the problem...as far the kindle goes...I think it's gonna have to be short one touch non motion games...that require little memory/ram

I got all three of my amazon app stores on the kindle fire. All three took about a week to get approved for the amazon app store, and a few more days for kindle fire.

I just had one of my apps approved for the Amazon store today after a week. @TShirtbooth you don't know when it is approved for the Kindle Fire app store. They won't send you an email. You just need to keep checking the Kindle Fire store to see if it is there or not. I don't understand why they don't let us know. It is a weird system. I only want my apps on the Kindle Fire so I don't get whey they have this 2 tiered system and then not to let you know is goofy.

@Tshirtbooth Amazon has two stores. One is the Amazon Android Store, that is where you first submit your app. If it passes through that then they put it through the Kindle Fire review. The Kindle Fire Store is only available on your Kindle Fire.

Is there anyway of seeing what apps are available on the Kindle Fire with out owning a Kindle Fire?

    They have this:

    http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_358822802_2?ie=UTF8&node=3427287011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=right-3&pf_rd_r=1RHJ4362AHV273G29D4E&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1337668082&pf_rd_i=2350149011

And you can also check the 'available for Kindle' box when searching for stuff.

Thanks for the tip HoneyTribeStudios! Out of my 5 amazon apps it looks like 4 are available for the kindle fire. I'm not sure why the 5th one isn't?

@MegapixelIdeas - No probs :) So have you noticed anything good with Amazon downloads compared to iOS? My first Android release comes out on Amazon and Kinde tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how it compares to the iOS app store.

Yeah, Amazon sales have been pretty steady and fairly good. Good luck with your Amazon App!
