Repeatedly knocked back by apple..

Hi all,
I've tried to publish my game 4 times now but keep getting failed by apple because they say it doesn't support both variations of the landscape view.. Or to quote them..

"Specifically, we noticed your app only supported the top right variant of the landscape orientation, but not the top left variation".

Which is rubbish because I always select to support both (in advanced options) when publishing. Looks like a Gamesalad issue.

PLEASE HELP!

Imac 3.06ghz OSX 10.6.8 Gamesalad 0.0.91

You may select it in the advanced options , but it doesnt say that your scene support both orientations . go in each scene attribute and under "auto rotate" make sure you select both landscape left and landscape right .

@P-O-M +1 - As Roy said, the scene attributes might need ticking... By default there is only one orientation ticked.

What's this all about. I've never ticked both orientations in advanced - and never changes auto-roatate in scene attributes. Is this something we should be doing???

If you want your game to have two or more orientations , you need to enable them in your project..

And by default your app should rotate. i.e. if in landscape, in scene settings on every scene you should have a tick in left and right landscape. Then in portrait, you should have up and down

Interesting... none of my apps support rotation and they've never been a problem to get approved - or updated.
Are you sure the needs to be able to rotate? Is this a new Apple rule?

So far I never had problems with iPhone games that run only in one orientation. I think it's only mandatory for iPad games.

Strange - i've not had a problem with ipad either.

Got to say, like Digi-chain, I've never ticked the boxes in each scene. Only checked the boxes in the advanced options when publishing and never had any problems with iPhone or iPad.

    Yeah, it's a stupid rule.

The enforcement is not great, I see a bunch of games get through without it

But to enable rotation every scene needs to have it enabled, as well as during publishing.

I laughed out loud when I read the comments. It's it really that hard to check a couple boxes?
