jumping and moving question

Im stuck, I can't make my actor jump and move at the same time. when i press my right key my actor does not jump all the way he makes like a little jerk then slows down, any ideas how i can get this fixed will be helpful thank you

    when the jump button is pressed, give it a speed first and accelrate down

    when the right button is pressed, give it a right speed
