a search tool for actors, scenes and tables ( basically any object )

as a project size grows, so does the number of objects in it.
To the point it becomes un-manageble just to scroll through all the actors,scenes and tables with the mouse.
what if we have a search tool to quickly display the items? Just like the way MacOS X's Spotlight tool works. Saves so many precious development seconds, and so many going back/forth between scenes,tables and actors.
