I can't open the file on my laptop

Did game salad change the way it sources its files? I send the project file to my laptop and I can't open it. What do I do?

    You know its possible the file has just been corrupted. This used to happen often if you always used the save function instead of save as. I have not seen it in a while but I would guess its not gone for good. Does the same exact file open on other machines? Are you 100% sure you have the same version of GS running on both machines?

    Alright, I know this may seem like a silly question. But in lion there is no view package option.

    So it isn't there on my laptop but it is there on my mac mini. Huzzah!

    is your laptop a hackintosh? I know it seems odd but that could honestly explain it. Hackintosh's are always missing odd things and it seems like it different for each install for each Distro.

    If its a real mac then I have no idea.

    Yeah, this is so odd. It's a real mac and I when I delete the file like TB said it still says unable to read file.

    What if you create a w project and save it. Can you open that.

    What if you drag the file onto the GS app?

    Yeah, if I create a new project and save it I can open it.
    Dragging does not open the file.

    I should also note that the file is only 1k. I think it should be bigger. Does game salad take images from the hard drive now instead of copying over the files?

    I also tried renaming the gsuserfile. That didn't work either. Is there any admin settings that game salad taps into that I might not have enabled on my laptop?

    Nope, still copies them over Buddy.

    You tried a fresh install... Really weird behaviour :/

    I also tried another file from my mini it also didn't work. They are both 0.9.92 I tried a fresh install on both of them.

    I only have two machines. Can anybody test my project?

    I don't know what happens but I can select show package contents for projects that I make on my laptop and not my mini. Both Lion versons are the same.

    And it doesn't work the other way either. Does anybody else have this problem?

    I took it down... But I think I might have found some kind of bug. I will send the file to GS. Im just work on the game on my mini. I was looking forward to working at starbucks all day. Haha!
