Are the divers in the top right-hand corner lives? If so I would make them a silhouette so they don't draw as much attention/look identical to the main character.

you guessed it and will do.. i was thinking i didn't like em but wasn't sure what to do... also the diver graphic is not final and one is being made atm to replace it.

As Ace said, you need to change the lives to silhouettes and also implement custom font scoring. Keep at it
