Im creating a game where one actor a "rope" picks up another actor the "character"

How can i click which character i want by a press and making him appear on the end of the rope?
Also how do i make that rope sway with the character and be able to toss him off?

A good starting place would be ORBZ Swing Knight demo. In GameSalad, click the New button from the main screen and then search for "orbz".
