Violin software

Hello peeps,

Seeing as how school and database programming absolutely rules my life now, I haven't been on the boards since who knows when. First of all, hi again :-)! Second of all, I have been coding up a little project w/XNA4.0 and I am in some serious need of some fun to use musical software. Something to create simple loops with, or even make chip tune music. Specifically, I need something that can create loops with prerecorded clips of a violin.

Anybody got any ideas or software they love messing with for this? I'm not looking to be a maestro, just a little something to get some quick results with. For example, I lOVE Sunvox!

GarageBand has plenty of violin loops, and if you have any music talent, you can use a midi keyboard, or even the software keyboard in GarageBand and make your own violin music.

So, you're looking for samples (meaning loops which you can alter)? My favorite place is 8Dio, but another good alternative is Native Instruments. If you ever want to get into serious orchestration, EastWest has a great library.
