I don't get some people. If someone else cracks a joke off topic it is offensive, but when someone needs help on a basic and simple issue, it's easier to crack a joke and leave them hanging.
Aside from the snaky response it is not a Pro issue.
@ tross99 This should help get this random spawning laser corrected.
Check your main actor and make sure that the rule that you have set to fire, which most likely fires your laser has no values set in the spawn actor behavior.
Your rule should just read actor receives event: key (spacebar or what ever you bind it to) is: Down
Behavior: Spawn actor leave all the values at 0.
Now, on the laser actor you only need to add one behavior for now: Change velocity . Set the direction you want it to travel and set the speed. That should do it. Very basic, and should get you working working. Next you will need to add any other rules for collision or destroy on collision with another actor/s. -

That's funny because most times you assume everyone is a kid, (there could be a language barrier). He did describe the problem. I understood what he meant.
No one has to write a professional topic particularly considering the people of all ages that visit the forums. Based on past experiences with you, you should consider your own wording and philosophy in the future.

Or a hamster, a hamster wheel, and some peanuts - but this solution is for PROs only...
Writing a professional topic and question shows a serious and mature approach to the whole thing (problems, game dev, and it shows respect to other users).
The Moowalls go choke on a dick
I think that many of the new guys DON´T do what it takes to figure out simple tasks because it is much easier just to ask the forum.
And if tross99 had looked at the BASIC SHOOT EM UP example-file inside GS, I think that would have solved the problem.

While I agree that he could have used a reference template and/or the tutorials out there, I'm not going to make the asumption that he did not already do so. Seeing that the issue was with "bullets" not spawning properly when shot, it tells me something was altered from the norm and the solution was rather simple.
Yes many new users do not refer to resources, but not so long ago a user was banned for similar initial responses with new users who were asking for help on common and repetitious issues. I don't see how the first two responses would made someone feel very confident about asking for help again.
As it stands, since tross99 was not familiar with themoonwalls style of humor, he could have been under the impression that 1, he was asking a studpid question and 2, it was question he would need to sumbit as a pro user.
I'm not trying to come down on themoonwalls, just pointing something out that he should reflect on and not in a negative way. He's pretty awesome in his own right and I see that he's hooking tross99 up with a related issue. So all is good.
This is an amazing community - we don't treat ourselves as competitors, but as friends using the same piece of software - and that's great.
