Bouncing Collisions--How do I make them behave?

I'm just starting to play with this tool, and I am already frustrated with it because I cannot get an actor to fall and come to a rest on a surface. Can someone please explain how to make collisions behave?

you have to reduce or increase the bouncing actor(s) restitution under the physics in attributes.
    Hope this helps

    Hi there,

What @SmallTallBox says is true, but it isn't called restitution any longer. GS changed it to "bounciness". Hope this helps,

Thanks for the help. Apparently it needs to be set negative to absorb energy, rather than be set to zero. At least on the windows version that I have it is still restitution. Thanks.

If you want them to not bounce, set the bounciness to 0 in both actors - the actor that hits the surface and the surface itself.
