★★★ Platform Ladders ★★★

Wayne and I spoke about doing a DK style game a few days ago but then i suddenly remembered the F word "Ladders!" not as easy as it sounds in GS.

Anyone else tried or trying to incorporate ladders into there games?

Anyone managed it?

Just sent Mr C a quick vid so thought id share the wip.

    I was messing with ladders the other day and really couldn't get them working like I wanted them too yet. It looks like you've got a pretty good system going. One of the issues I had was when coming down the ladder onto a platform the player would still move through the platform below, it looks like you might have soved this with two different types of platforms, is that why you have both yellow and green platforms in the video?

    I've done ladders for a client project before. Very tough to make work smoothly in all directions. Especially getting back ion the ladder and going down.

    Tried and failed. This makes me want to give it a go again.

    @Jamie no its only one platform actor to keep it light but i guess it could work with a top and bottom.

    Added the ability to jump off ladders and jump through platforms, also you can jump off a ladder and grab back on.

    Had fun playing with this but back to my main game now.

    Looking really smooth! I need to work on this for a platform/side scroller I'm working on. Nice.
