ScreenFlow/Camtasia Question

Im using camtasia and screenflow to do a screen recording of my app being tested in GS. With each software.. my recordings are coing out pitch black. And in the Screenflow config setting.. where it asks record video from. I cant check the check box to choose. And above it it says "Record Desktop from your 2343" And also Camtasia mentions a 2343

Any one have any ideas. Im asking this because I know alot of you use these softwares to record your screen.
