Easy Money at Amazon (Small but Easy)

For those of you not already doing this, one way to monetize your Apps at Amazon is to create an Affiliate account and then use your affiliate link when linking to your other games from within your App (i.e. More Games Button). Amazon will give you 4% + commissions on any purchase someone makes within 24 hours. You will likely only get ~$.05 cents per sale since most of the purchases will be a $.99 game, but I have seen a steady increase lately and it is just another way to try and make money at Amazon in place of striking it rich with Ads. I have a few other ideas to monetize at Amazon, if you are interested send me a message.

On that topic, I have heard from several places that income from Amazon ads is ridiculous (Admob & RevMob), if only we could use it :(. Most of my sources say you can expect upwards of $30 to $50 per eCPM vs. say $5 eCPM using iAds because there are so few apps and so many advertisers.

I think this is worthy of a separate post, so I am going to post a separate message hoping to get someones attention at game salad. We need to strike while the fire is hot, not wait for every developer to realize this...

    Does this mean @jdgould that you make a webpage with links to your apps and have a button in your app that opens that page (therefore getting the benefit of the affiliate links)?
    Sorry not that aware of the affiliate process.

    Apple has a similar program for iTunes as well.

    @ Lynette bros - I link directly to my other amazon games from within my apps (i.e. a more games button), the URL from my game has the affiliate code embedded.

    @ tenrdrmer - thanks I just learned about the link share stuff recently too... All the little income adds up!
