Can I access/Use the external keyboard on a phone?

I would like to use the phone with the keyboard slid out on the phone to trigger things. Can I use it? It works with the mac keyboard when i test it but not on phone. Thanks Guys.

As far as I understand you, the answer is no.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you can. I have however seen tutorials at gshelper.com on how to incorporate you're own custom keyboard.
