How do we upload our apps to windows 8?

We can only publish to windows with pro? Till I can buy pro membership, I have no choice but to use game maker. I will still need to upgrade to windows 8 first, which is another pain, as I have to re install my whole windows. Apps for win8 are still a long way to go. Congrats to you.
