McBank: The Puzzle of Money and Freedom.



Here's one of my new games that will be out very soon. It's not your typical game in that it expresses an opinion. That might be normal for a song but for some reason games don't often do that.

Hopefully the humour in the game will be an effective vehicle for the points I am making.

I also just entered it for the IGF 2013. Optimistic I know, but I think way the storytelling is expressed is something different and interesting. Of course I *would* think that...

    Ah right, gotcha. Yeah definitely, we tried to paint the picture of McBank seeming 'all powerful' and relentless in it's oppressive goal of controlling the people.

    Nice to see peeps are finding this one interesting!

    Have now submitted to Apple. Android next.

    How unhelpful for google to only give you 30 characters for app titles!

    Thinking November 1st will be a bad time to release (any holiday period is bad unless you're a big publisher/brand) but not sure if I'll have the patience to wait for the 8th...!

    Hopefully the GS guys are working hard on getting windows 8 publishing as reliable as iOS publising. Would be great to get a fully working win8 version up and running.

    Dear @HoneyTribeStudios this looks INCREDIBLE!!!! It's so phenomenal to see people bringing art and expression to game design. I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this. Is there any shot I can play test it or anything. Really really beautiful job! Very impressed!

    I always hate the waiting before Apple approves an app. But they have now so McBank will be coming to a device near you on Nov 8th. Well... it will if you download it.

    It's is a mix between puzzle/adventure gameplay and social commentary. So it's quite a unique game.

    It's a free app so please do give it a try and leave a review and rating in the app store(s).

    Compelled to see more!, pretty astonishing, The lack of insight into the game makes me really really really want to play this now, Really interested in this one and have bookmarked the thread :)

    All hail McBank! I remember seeing this image when checking out the IGF entries but I was going so fast I didn't notice you had entered it. It looks awesome, I'll be getting it soon and leaving a review. Good luck on IGF! (but not too much because I want to win...jk)

    The first reviews are coming in. Here's the conclusion from Lory Gil of AppAdvice

    A mini article in. Slide To Play gave McBank a post in their indie section called 'under the radar'. In their words the indie section is for "undiscovered gems that might otherwise pass you by". So nice to get a mention.

    Saw a nice post - CNET Australia made it their Android Game of the Week.

    I just downloaded the app, will review it after i've played more into it
