Where do I tell it what Provisioning Profile to use for iPhone?

Okay... this is weird... I developed a bunch of apps last year (pro member with an older version of GameSalad) and pretty much took the summer off... Now I'm getting back into things and the entire interface and publishing structure has changed (mostly web-based now when it was mostly local before)....

When creating a development app I am never actually asked what Development Provisional Profile I want to use... how is that possible? Where do I put it?

I am asked for an "IOS Provisioning Profile" and I only have one listed, so that's easy.. Or.. I'm not doing that right, either ;-)

Thanks...

When you are on the site and after you generate the app the button next to it sign app comes up and then a box will show up to pick it.

    Thanks!...

That means I'm reading something wrong, cause the only thing listed after downloading when I go to sign my app it just lists "IOS Team Provisioning Profile*"... In fact, now I have two of them... Appear to be exactly the same.

So the things listed on that signing step should really be all my valid Development and Distribution Provisioning Profiles... right?

I have some profiles in my XCode Organizer that are valid, but they're not being listed. I can click "Get Provisional Profile" but that just takes me to the IOS provisioning portal. I technically already have some valid profiles downloaded and valid....

Any suggestions would be appreciated.... Are there any tutorials on the updated web publishing process?

A lot of the YouTube videos and even some of the Cookbook tutorials seem to be outdated.... Thanks...

Make sure you have the latest Xcode.

Hmmm I don't know if there is one. I'll do one tomorrow.

Yep... do... 4.5.2... Looks like others have had the same problem. Looks one possible the solution might be to delete profiles from my mac, delete games from GameSalad then essentially start all over.

    We'll see...

I really like GameSalad but I often spend more time futzing around with publishing issues than anything else...

Hmmm I have had no problems with my profiles and publishing through all GS transitions.

I know in the new system the app Id has to match the one you type in before you generate.

Sooo... yep, that was it. Did this:

    1. Deleted my app from publish.gamesalad.com and quit GameSalad completely.
    2. Went into XCode Organizer and removed my profile (even though it said "Valid Profile"
    3. Went back to Provisioning Portal and downloaded the profile (a dev one in this case).
    4. Went into downloads and double-clicked the profile (to install it)...
    5. Started up GameSalad, published app, started all over.

Voila.. when my app was ready for signing all 4 of my valid profile suddenly appeared in the drop-down menu... Not sure if I've seen that since updating to XCode 4.5.2...

Something definitely a little fishy with either this version of XCode or the latest GameSalad update...

Thanks for your help, FryingBaconStudios :-) !

Glad you got it working. Yep have to keep an eye on those PP I always look at the date. But if I need to I'll just generate a new one instead of renew through Xcode. I see a lot of people constantly redoing their main certs and their shouldn't be a need for that. It's usually the PP being outdated or some such. FYI for adhoc I just use my team PP as it will match anything you type in the app ID section of Publishing system. I only make app IDs when I do distribution.
