Hi everone!

Welcome to GSH7! GSHelper.com is holding its second 7 day game jam contest! We are proud to announce that we are holding the contest ourselves and that anybody is free to join! I have all of the rules below for you along with everything else you will need to enter.

Who can join? - Anybody who wants to. This contest will be open to the general public, you just have to email me saying that you will be participating.

Are teams allowed? - Yes, teams will be allowed. If you are on a team then you simply need to email me saying so with all the members of your team listed in the email you need to send to me. Your team can be as big or as small as you would like.

Do we need to make a custom game? - Yes.

Do we need to make custom graphics? - Yes.

Do we need to make custom music? No.

Do I get to keep my game or do you get it? - You own 100% of your game! All we are doing is trying to help showcase your work in something fun that engages the community.

What do I submit when the contest ends for the judges? - All we need is some screenshots of the game in action and a short video demonstration.

What is the theme? - Winter Wonderland!

When will the contest begin? - Today, November 26th, 2012.

How long will the contest last? - 7 days. We are making this a one week contest to allow more time to the developers to make better games. All games sent in after one week will not count.

What will the prize be? - We have all the prizes listed below.

1st Place Prize - GameSalad Pro Membership + 2012 GSHelper Membership Package

2nd Prize - $100 GSHelper Gift Certificate

3rd Prize - $50 GSHelper Gift Certificate

    Me too. Sending you email in a while. I was actually going to create a winter theme extension for my present game, so I can create for this instead. I will probably make just 20 stages, but that's good enough in one week. Will record the video as well while making.

    Winter wonderland means anything about winter and Christmas or it means something specific?

    We will be putting the screenshots here or on your forums or just emailing you?

    Here it is 5.30 am 27 th nov. So I am 12 hours ahead. So contest will end at Usa time 2 Dec 00 am? So I will have to submit by 3rd Dec 6 pm. Will try to do by 2nd.

    Yes that sounds right if what your saying is correct. As long as I have it by December 2nd at 12AM my time, your all set :)

    @MindBlownApps - I would imagine sending an email of confirmation to sales@gshelper.com would do it...perhaps Max would like you to email a different address though.

    Yes just send an email to sales@gshelper.com saying you'll be in the contest. To be honest, I'm not going to be strict about having to get an email this time around. If you have a sumbmission posted on this thread before the times up, your fine.

    Well after working for whole day, managed to complete the main menu graphics ready. 3d rendering takes lot of time. Hopefully by tommrow I will complete the graphic part. Still a lot to go.

    Instructions, story graphics, elf animation, snow particles, snow boulder, snowman render and other Major graphic part is done. My game will be an extension of the original game I am making. So the graphic theme needs to be similar but with the winter and snow, have to make changes to the backgrounds and render everything all over again.

    gameplay will have addons, making it a completely different game. Sleeping just 6 hours with an alarm set. This is really fun. Hopefully I will succeed in completing by 2nd december.

    So I stayed up late and got the core gameplay mechanics done for my game- it a snowball fight- for 2 players. iPad. The game starts with each player taking turns and building a fort with the blocks each player gets 20 seconds. After the build round is over, the snowball fight commences. going to add a bunch of bonuses, different types of snowballs, etc. shields. I used some sprites from my gamejam game to act as programmer art, and the final characters will be a couple of boys (neighbors). (didn't spend much time on the art for the prototype obviously!) Plan to have stuff driving on the road, enemies, etc. and bonuses. It's pretty fun and works very well! ;) Cheers
