Kindle Publishing - App Under Review for 9+ Days?

I read a few posts that said Amazon App store approval usually takes about another week (and then another week for Kindle approval, I think).... I submitted an app on Dec. 6 to the Amazon developer site and... it's now Dec. 15th... still "Under Review"... Is that normal?

I even emailed them about 5 days ago and politely asked about the approval time. It took them 3 days to send me an AUTO reply that said, "We'll forward your message to the appropriate department... "

The delay is bordering on silly at this point... my app only has 6 buttons and 2 screens :-)

    My apps usually get through both in 3-4 days. It is getting close to the holidays, so that might be why it's effecting them.

    Yea, many Developers have to get their app on the store, before its holiday, it doesn't depend on how many things there in your game, but how many apps there are submitted.

    Huh.. okay.. thanks... I have to admit: I put off going to Kindle because I was afraid of the complexity... Gamesalad made it ridiculously easy....

    Just a note: it took a total of 12 days... submitted on December 6... Went live in Android App store on December 18. So.. yep... just busy I guess...

    Wow...last app I released in amazon took 1 day total but that was 2 months ago

    I've been waiting for the amazon store also since the 6th... Hopefully it goes soon!
