Characters "bounce" (or jump) is paused when I go left or right

Alright so… my character (the one you're playing) is bouncing all the time (this is on purpose, it's a bit like in Doodle Jump).

The bouncing works fine so far. However I have only one problem. It's when I choose to go left or right, it's like my character takes a little break while in the air (it does have a Matrix effect haha) and basically I would like it to continue bouncing even if I choose to change the direction.

Here are my settings:

Hope someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong!

Thanks :)

First, you should take the Accelerate behavior, and have it at the very top of the list, and then followed by the collide rules.

Could be a conflict with the way it's set up now. You are telling it to accelerate down after you have left and right movements declared. That accelerate down is a constant, and should be at the very top, followed with the collide behaviors.

    Yeah that makes sense.

I just tested it but sadly no luck :(

I kind of was thinking that it would be something like that, I mean, I want it to accelerate while I'm going left or right as well. That's why I had tried to put the accelerate behaviour inside the move left and move right rules, but no luck either (plus, it was extremely slow).

Shall I perhaps look at some other behaviours / techniques?

Here you go, try this (left and right arrows for left and right movement) + constant bounce:

Damn, I love this. Thanks so much! I managed to copy the "handling" this time, it works just perfectly. It's so smooth also, I love it. It gives it a complete different feeling! Now I need to figure out how to use that sin thing you talked about… :)
