Getting variable values from http call?

Hi all

I am still pretty green to GS and am looking to make a game where the game needs to check for a variable on my website and then use that in game. I am thinking of a simulated gambling game (not real money) on horse racing and need to be able to say what horse won... is this possible? Do i need to go pro for this?

@Chakku No, you can't gather any data from external websites to use in game.

    Sorry, there is a misunderstanding.

What I meant was that you can achieve the horse racing GAME (not the website support) easily right now WITHOUT the website support (which doesen't exist right now).

Make the variables in tables, and you can select a random number in expression editor.

Sorry about the misunderstanding; I should've been clearer.

    Hope this makes sense
