Click the scene then hold "alt" and drag the scene (left or right)
let go and you have a copy of the scene

click the scene, then command-C and then command-V

Here is a handy tip for Mac users option click and drag is always duplicate on a Mac across any program it's osx specific so if an item is duplicable and dragable it works ever time.
