Anyone recommend a Kindle Fire to me?

Hi All,
I want to but a Kindle Fire for testing. A few questions:

Is it easy to upload and test apps to the device from a Mac (as in load a memory card onto desktop)?
Which model is best - like is the 7inch model prevalent or is the bigger one better?

Any experiences people have had would be appreciated.

I use a first generation Kindle Fire for testing all of my android apps, and its great! Just email yourself the signed apk, open it on your kindle, double click and bam, app is ready to play!

I think will give you a decent testing device. You can now use the overscan ability to see how a game will look on any resolution, so you've got that covered already. You essentially just need it to see if the game functions correctly. As such, I think the 7inch will be more than adequate. Even the first generation Fires are great for testing.

I use Kindle Fire 1st gen and Kindle HD. I like to test the differences as their aspect ratios are different, HD has double the RAM and Android OS is 2.3 / 4.0 respectively.
Just to be sure you know :)

To install an APK I just use dropbox but its pretty flex however you wish to do it.

    cheers.

Yep, first gen Kindle Fire here, and it works fine!

A year ago none of my games would run on it. Now, they all do!

Amazing the progress GS has made in performance in that time!

    QS :D

    Hi,
i copy my signed .APK directly for my usb Mac port.
    I use this software:
    Android file Transfert: http://www.android.com/filetransfer/
After the copy i install the game in my Kindle fire with File Explorer.

    @lycettebros
If you want to develop a game for kindleFire you must purchase it,
fortunately it is really cheap! and Amazon is a nice market.
    :)
