Is it possible to erase part of an actor leaving the background?

in Working with GS (Mac)
im working on a game where i need to erase part of an actor as i drag my finger across it leaving the detailed background in its place. please let me know if this is even possible with gamesalad.

    Nope, sorry mate. There's kind of a work around, though. Jaylee posted a thread...hold on, let me find it.
