Saving File

I have seen this message a few times when saving my file and keep ignoring it. Does anyone know what it is referring to?

"This document’s file has been changed by another application since you opened or saved it."

Nothing else was open on my mac.

Cheers

I have seen this too. You can ignore it - it does not seem to affect anything with the file.

My assumption has been that this occurs when my project file (which I store on DropBox) is being synced at the same time that I save it. But if others are seeing this even without cloud-based files, then I don't know. I always just wait a minute and then save again and the error only appears that one time.

Just as an FYI- am not sure if you wanted a reply. I am not using cloud based files. But again, it never has caused any problems.

    cheers :)

Thanks, @PaxPax actually I was hoping to hear from people who saw the issue but were only saving files to the local hard drive.

Hi @PaxPax I've always thought it's to do with opening the game file via GSC one time, and another time double-clicking the gamefile to open it (or maybe the other way around).....don't know if this is right or not...

Either way, as the other guys said, it can be ignored generally. :-)

interesting---i will keep an eye on this and see if this seems to be the issue. But yah, ignoring does not seem to cause any issues.

only thing other than save to hard drive I do is copy to back up. I don't do this via gamesalad, rather drag from 'finder'. will see if there is some relationship here as well.

    cheers
