iOS publishing and zip file

in iPhone and Android Publishing
I have downloaded my dev key - built the package signed it fine and testing it on my live device, no problems. I have now went to sign the app with the distribution key. It does not give me a 'zip' file, only the app file. Am I missing something here?

    you just have to zip that app file yourself.

    Okay thanks, I was making sure gs didn't do something special, I thought in the past GS built both files.
