Becoming an iAd Developer...

Hello all!

Lately I've learned the basics of using iAd Producer for personal reasons. While I don't really know JS, I'm familiar with other programming languages. I wanted to use iAd for publicizing my own games, but I feel like I might be able to do it for others too, at a price. But now I'm facing some problems I don't have experience with...

How do I start? With almost no client experience, I'm not sure how to construct a portfolio for something such as this. I can use samples, sure...but is anyone going to believe in a first-timer?
How do I proceed? Do I ask my clients for some of their artwork? Back to the first issue, will they trust me with it?

And how much do I charge? Should I ditch it?

Thanks for the advice in advance.

P.S. Wasn't sure where to put this...so just tossed it in Miscellaneous :D

@master200012 If I saw an example then I would trust you with my artwork. I unfortunatly don't need an iAd advertizement now but I'll keep you in mind if I do need one. (Provided you can prove your abilities ;) ) Anyone else think the same thing?

I thought iad buyins was extremely high, like a few hundred k before you could run a campaign.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean...I'm new to this, so sorry for misunderstanding you.

I only want to sell my services to another developer for a set price; I'm not interested in anything else at the moment. Just popping up at a certain time to advertise and hook a few clients, then dropping off again...

Could you, perhaps, explain more elaborately?

i think in order to advertise using iAds, you need to commit to spending a few hundred thousand dollars in a campaign, so I don't think you'll find very many indies looking for this type of service, which is both good and bad.

if you get a job, they obviously have money to burn :)
but if they are spending that much money on advertising, they might already have someone in house doing this sort of thing.

yea, this is from a year ago.

when iAds was first announced, you had to spend 1 million to advertise on the iAd network.

they dropped that price to 500k a little after, and a year ago they dropped it further to 100k.

so still a lot of money, but a lot better than 1 million:)

I see where you're getting that, it's certainly seems legitimate...

But when I go to their website, campaigns fall under brand advertisements. There is a seperate section for Developers, but they are asking me to contact them...?
