Not publishing to the App store

Once my game gets finished, I will indeed be publishing it to the App Store, but just out of curiosity, is it at all possible in GameSalad to have your game be just an .app file and not have to publish it to any platform? You probably can and I'm probably asking a stupid question, I just wanted to be sure in case I want to bring my games elsewhere other than the App Store/android market/windows store.

    Yes, but every market has a different app format. Also, you need a PRO membership to publish to android and windows.

    I know, I just included them because I know Gamesalad supports publishing on those platforms. I would have pro, but I'm too poor to afford it. So I'm hoping my game will get me a few bucks

    Have you considered publishing your apps on amazon? seems it's free to get a Pro membership there. I still don't have any experience on this though. As to making money from app, just bear in mind that popularity is everything to guarantee income. you can charge your app but you will get much fewer downloads compared to free apps. So make a good app, marketing it through various channels first, then think of making money.
