A smooth character walking animation

Hey,

I noticed some people are able to make a characters animation move smoothly with up to 8-12 images used for their animation.

But! for some reason I have a character who's using 6 images for his animation but it cause my game to lag super bad once he is spawned :(

Is there something I'm doing wrong?!?!
Or
Could it simply be due to the fact that I'm testing on an iPhone 4 (Not "4s") :(

    Are you just using the Animate behavior with 6 frames? Does the lag occur if you place that actor on a new scene by itself and preview it?

    Well, lots of factors could be effecting your outcome:
    1. Your code is illogical
    2. The fact that the animate behavior stinks
    3. You're low on RAM
    4. Memory leaks and high CPU usage
    5. Your images are oversized
    etc...

    @tatiang Hmm I'll try placing it on another scene and giving it a go. So far I have the frames at 8. Testing it inside of GS works fine, but once I test it on the phone..... :(

    1. I don't think it is, I've done everything correctly and used my behaviors properly.
    2. hahaha I'm starting to accept the fact that it does.
    3. Testing on the PC is fine, not so much on the phone though.
    4. Hmmm I wonder???
    5. I made the images the proper size, since this actor is a boss I made him somewhat larger, but nothing crazy.

    @charliehgreen Haha #2 is always a big problem but @CodeWizard should fix that. I wish the best of luck to you in trying to fix this problem. :) Edit: Are you using Mac or Windows creator?
