ORBZ Game Early Preview (feedback plz)

Well, after years in development I'm ready to show off some screenshots. This has been a 1 man project - no extra money for hiring an artist or musician. For those of you that don't know me, I'm a programmer by trade and I've always wanted to make a video game. I don't have the best art skills compared to some of you guys (amazing what some people can do with photoshop) But i've done the best I can and made up for my lack of art skills with my programming skills - a lot of the animation is procedurally generated so it's silky smooth. I've done all the coding and art and sound myself, in my spare time, when not working the day job. This is my first game and I really really hope you guys like it. It's not quite done yet but I just wanted to share a little of the excitement that myself and my girlfriend have been playing for the past couple of months. It's a SUPER fun and very addictive game. The controls are silky smooth too! What it lacks in pro-level graphics it makes up for in FUN FACTOR. That's been the driving motivation behind every aspect of the game's design - FUN!

As to HOW the game plays -- you'll just have to wait and see ;) I don't like to give away to much or else it spoils the surprise for you.

I could really use some help coming up with a cool title though :)

Please let me know if you are interested in beta testing.

    I'd love to help out with beta testing.

    It reminds me a bit of Missile Command so maybe Alien Command, or...

    Congrats on finally announcing it man! Been looking forward to it!

    I got to see a bit of the game sometime last year - you guys are in for a huge treat! So smooth and amazing. Can't wait to try this for myself on my iPad! :)

    That looks great I can't wait to see the silky smooth animation!

    It's reassuring to know that it's been in development for years too - when people are so often complaining that a Gamesalad update has broken their work in progress it's cool to know that you've been working on this through (I imagine) loads of updates now.

    PS if your UFO is terrorizing the planet you could call the game "UF...OH NO!" :D

    Dude so happy to see this ... after seeing so much amazing code shared by you, i'm sure this will be wicked. I know its been in development for many a moon so really happy for you that you can now show it off. Will definitely be an instant buy from me

    Wow, this looks sooooooooooo awesome. Simple, but clean, and polished graphics with cool game concept :)

    Let's play guess the gameplay!

    I recon you rotate around the earth and you have to pick up and put down objects in specific places.

    It's hard to tell gameplay from the still, but coming from you I bet it's excellent . . . . Looking forward to seeing this one in the flesh, also love the idea that you are the UFO (rather than the more obvious ground forces).

    Yes, I've had a few hurdles dealing with the transition dealing with GS v10.2+ The game crashes right now after a few mins of gameplay.. Still working out some tech glitches and graphics issues.
