So how did you come up with the name and logo for you game studios??

I was looking at some of the studio names and logo in the GS forum and was just wondering what the story was behind some of them....

"Wboko" (Wa-boo-cu), came about after searching for a new domain a few years back and not being able to find a good one that I liked, so i just took and just laid my fingers on the keyboard and out came "Wboko".

The Wboko logo came about by taking two heart and flipping one upside down and over laying them on top of each other. It looked really cool so I added eyes, but it was still missing something so as I looked over and saw a Spider-Man comic with "Venom" on the cover and said to myself, "that mouth is perfect!". So, I draw a mouth like "Venom" and it was perfect...lol

Crazy things happen when you drinking "Jack and Coke".... LOL

Well my so called company is called, Appdore...
I've done SEO in the past and wanted a short domain... then I thought about Apps while listening to Pandora.. and thought about APPDORA... then decided to do Appdore instead... Because you will Adore + App = Appdore Me, lol I'm working on something better...

I don't have a logo yet but I've been thinking about an upside down heart with legs that resembles an A.. :>

@Wboko I'm glad you think so :)... if I had listened to friends I would have missed out on the name.

I have one that was done in Xcode called Be+Random (BeeRandom - searching cartez on app store will bring it up lol)... it made me come crying back to GS.

I have two word games made using GS coming out later this month though.

When I was working on my game, I've made a huge list with different studio titles that I liked. I've updated it almost every week with new names. Then I've posted a poll with list of best names from that doc, on a forum where I hang out. Then I picked top voted result and registered a website. But after registering it, I've notice that I was not satisfied with the name, cause ideas of the new name continue to pop-up in my head. After couple of months I've picked other name from that list and registered new website address. I'm sure I've made the right choice, cause my imagination no longer bothers me about studio name.

It's Creashock Studios by the way. Obviously inspired by Bioshock. Logo was inpired by some stock art. http://gyazo.com/0377a0da492199918280d2a27a998dc0

Our site is not a studio but a game asset store, similar set up to the rest of you for branding through.

I was searching for domain names and put 'Indie Game Designer' into a GoDaddy missing out the ',' between each word. I assumed that 'IndieGameDesigner.com' would be taken but my blunder of not putting in the commas took my right to it. Once I found out that it was available I bought it immediately.

The name didn't suggest anything particular graphically but I love science, space & rockets so I threw together a simple little vector rocket, got a cool font off of DaFont and that was it!
