It's an interesting read, I definitely recommend that everyone should take the time to read and learn from it. It can be a great way for indie developers to not 'shoot themselves in the foot' so to speak.

    sure you can.
    In iTunes Connect you go to -->Manage My Apps-->your app-->Rights and pricing-->set a availability date in the future before the app says "ready for sale"

    @Fajlajp Wingmanapps is right, you can manually set the availability date in itunes connect.
