Limiting Keyboard input?

Hey all,

Is it possible to limit the amount of characters entered when the keyboard input function is used?
If I want them to enter a name, I would prefer its not going to be 40 characters long.
I was thinking just make a custom keyboard, but wasn't sure how good I could make it for universal support.
Any thoughts?

    Nope you need to use a custom keyboard. There is a video on this at GShelper.

    @FryingBaconStudios Great thanks, I am all good creating my own custom keyboard. Just thought there was a chance I could cut off an hour of work.

    I wish. I've asked that they give us access to the regular keyboard and not have all that white space.

    It would be beneficial indeed, I normally end up doing a few hours extra of work to make my own work around whenever I find I need to use it. It's only a few hours but it adds up over the years. Agreed its the white space that annoys me. But anyhow i am sure it will get some work on it sometime soon.
