in Announce Your Game!
I WANT TO CREATE A GAME PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY LIKE THIS WITH MY OWN CHARACTERS AND STUFF THOUGH. HOW DO I CONFINE MY ACTOR TO MOVEMENT IN A CERTAIN AREA I KNOW HOW TO MAKE HIM MOVE AND STUFF SIDE TO SIDE BUT HOW DO I MAKE HIM MOVE UP AND DOWN WALKING.

    I suggest you look at a lot of the existing tutorials. I can't speak for everyone, but I wouldn't have the patience to tell you how to build a game like that from the ground up. Especially if you have never even looked at any of the intro cookbooks and tutorials.

    I have a better idea - I'm going to close this.
    Even if @calolivar is screaming, and asking such childish question, that doesn't mean that we can make fun of him. If we do, he can feel that newbies are unwelcome here. And that is not true.

    BUT
    @calolivar - please respect us, these forums, and game developement - if you want to make a game, and have such wonderful tutorials (cookbook, YT videos, and such book: http://tinyurl.com/mtc2dtt ), you should take the time to watch/read them, check templates, and then if you have any specific qustions - ask them here.
    Nobody will tell you how to make a game step by step (unless you are willing to pay for such service).
