What is the Grey border on the Stage Panel there for?

What is the purpose of the Grey border on Stage Panel screen? It doesn't seem to have an affect on the visible area when I preview the game.

I have read the manual for the Windows version and it isn't mentioned there unless I missed it.

    I think it's just a buffer so you can easily sit things off stage when needed I use it a lot.

    So inside the grey border is the actual visible area on a iPhone?

    Yes and gray area is offscreen.

    BBEnk I am talking about the border/outline about 10mm inside the Stage. On my platform there is the stage then a grey border and then a red cross in the center.

    I am want to know what its purpose is. I see in the Cannon template it is a lot smaller so its parameters can be changed. It must be used for something.

    sorry I'm on mac maybe windows is different but you have the Black area which is the stage outer gray area which is offscreen and two square white lines on mac anyway large outside line is camera size and smaller inside line is tracking area.
