Easy way to make a walk cycle

Is there any easy way to get or create a walk cycle(for commercial use), maybe some software(free)?
I have tried to create a walk cycle 3 times in inkscape and it took me a day to make one cycle, as I am not good at graphic design.
I really want to make a game but when ever i made a cycle it appears a bit pixelated when added as an animation.
I want to make a commercial game, I would be okay with most graphic design except the walk cycle.
I'm using windows 8
I really appreciate any help!

You could always choose to pay a professional animator.

Have a look at @SpriteAttack 's page, there are a lot of great tips:

As to why your art is pixelated ingame can have many many reasons. Maybe the image was too small when imported, or it is the way that you made the transparency of the background,...

Are you using layers in inkscape?

Maybe post an image of your imported animation and a screenshot as it looks ingame.

The image is over 1000 pixels wide and 4000 heigh, and im not using layers in inkscape, if i view the image in windows photo viewer it looks perfect but when added to the game its pixelated

You want to import the image into Gamesalad at the actual pixel dimension you are going to use it. You're not actually using it 1000 x 4000 pixels are you?

Of course if you're game is going to be Retina iOS you'll want to import it at twice the resolution you will use it in GS.

I'd highly recommend 'The Animators Survival Kit' book by Richard Williams (famous for his work with Disney and on Who Framed Roger Rabbit'..

I spent 3 years at uni studying animation, and 9 years after graduating I still end up looking at this book for walk cycle break downs.
