I searched for Tetris templates on the forum and Google and from what I read Tetris seems like quite a task in GameSalad

@kevincross yea im starting to think that. but its easier then tetris actually, im going for super puzzle fighters. which is somewhat like it but a bit easier because it doesnt have those random shapes.

i said tetris because a lot of people dont know what super puzzle fighters is

Hey, $100USD will generally only get you about 3-5 hours work (depending on the rate of course) and a game like Puzzle Fighter-which is indeed excellent-would take many, many hours to complete (likely 100+) even with art supplied. Despite it's cutesy style it's a pretty deep game. Not trying to criticize, I just wasn't sure if you realized just how much work this could be. You may find it hard to get someone with that budget, why not try making it yourself?

    $100 is a joke.

Without Joints or polygonal collision Shapes GameSalad is not going to be the tool for Tetris. yeah you could in theory make it happen with a ton of nasty RAM hogging logic but man its really just not worth it until one of those tow features finally gets here.

@tenrdrmer theres some guys on here that make things seem like a piece of cake. And its actually not tetris, way less complicated. If i knew how to work with game salad and tell it to do whats in my mind it wouldve been done. but yea i guess it is low, but 100usd is more then what most people make in there games they make as im hearing. and besides, the person who makes it is going to make a game/template for themselves too im sure of it.

@asobu_games thanks, i was just throwing a number out there. if more is needed not a problem. but ive been trying for 2 weeks now and i cant even get the actor to move the way i want it to move. keep running into problems, so i figured ill see if someone would be willing to tackle the task. but i will continue to try.

..you don't know how to work with Gamesalad? :-O it's practically designed for people who can't or don't want to code their games. Don't tell me you haven't given it a couple hours, just to try and figure out the basics? I'm telling you, anybody can learn the tool. It's already a hell of a dumbed down game development tool, and it's still insanely powerful. Give it another shot :) but yeah you might want to make something simpler than Tetris/the other game you're talking about.

@thegabfather ...lol i understand the simple parts of it. and ive been trying it a lot but when you place a simple thing like a rotate button on an actor. And the actor ends up acting funny on such a simple task...then thats when im scratching my head like how do i get it to rotate fully everytime and not stop half way. little things like this i get stuck for days and get discouraged. but you guys gave me a bit of a push so ill try some more. thanks

How much you think your 100usd game can do? What will make you game sell more copies?

well i have an idea. ace in the hole which i will not share due to someone stealing the idea which is very unlikely but yea....

@riffel i mean everyone thinks they have a great idea. but yeah... im willing to spend money to see if i can make.

Ideas are cheap - I imagine most people on here have more great ideas than they could ever hope to work on. The tough thing is actually making it a reality. The idea is just 1% of the process. Not only that but even a truly great idea isn't going to cut it on it's own. Other important factors include great art, animation, story, marketing, icon, keywords, monetization strategy, etc. The list is almost endless.

I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm just saying that if you want to have one of the games that make 'more than just $100' you'll need more than just a good idea and $100. The best way is to work hard, keep learning/improving and never giving up. There is no magical easy route to success. :)

@asobu_games your not discouraging me at all. and your absolutely right on what you said. but i never said the 100 dollars and a idea is all i have. i have most of it covered. all i need it this programming part which is giving me a rediculously tuff time which is why i tried to make an offer. i see it was a low offer which is changed now to "you thow me an offer"

but yea your right on what your saying. but trust me, its not just another game....
