hi guys just another issue im having i have created a piece of artwork and put it into the setup window and tiled it like tshirtbooth did in his recipe vids and i have pulled it along to make it tile 3 blocks long but when i go to preview it its 3 and a half blocks how can i fix this thanks in advance

Instead of dragging the size, put in a numeric value for it's size that is 3 times it's normal width. So if your block were 10 pixels wide, manually type in 30 pixels instead and see if that works correctly for you.

Well you only have two choices for collision boxes in GS, right now you must have Rectangle picked. You could try choosing Circle and see if that gives you the effect you want. In the specific case you show in the image with Circle picked your character would probably fall off the edge and not hang like that. But picking circle will effect other things like collisions with enemies as well so you'd just have to test it out and see what works best for you and what you can and can't live with.

Cute character by the way... ;)

It's under Physics in your actors, look for Collision Shape.

I think you have your tutorials confused, that character is from some that I have done, and from a small art pack I give away on my website. That's why I had to comment. ;)

No worries at all. It's free for you to use as you see fit, even if you want to use it in a published game.

Like I said it's part of this free art pack on my website:

I appreciate the kind words but I certainly don't know it all, LOL! :)

I'm don't think I'll be able to trouble shoot your actual files for you, fortunately (unfortunately??) I have a full time job that keeps me pretty busy. But if you can come up with specific questions I'll be happy to help with answers when I know them.

Hi @pheonix30, I used particles to create a bubble kind of effect here:

It's green bubbles rising up out of the green toxic waste. So I'd use your bubble image as the image of a particle effect and adjust the settings to match how you want your bubbles to move.

    thanks ill try it out

just watched the vid thats exactly what i want to do but how do i do it
  • jamie_cjamie_c ImagineLabs.rocks Member, PRO Posts: 5,772
@pheonix30, the particles from the video above are attached to this post. Feel free to use them as is or adjust to your specific needs. Particles can take a lot of tweaking to get just right so don't be afraid to play with all the settings and see what other effects you can get.
