Renaming Layers

in Working with GS (Mac)
I see in a lot of custom projects that layers can be renamed. I'm using mac creator and editing the names is not working for me. Is there any trick to renaming layers?

    Just click the name once, and it will highlight and allow you to rename it. No need to double click.

    Actually now that I test it, that is a little 'buggy', seems to work more reliably if you click twice and then press Return.

    Derp. Tried it, works perfectly. I feel stupid now. However, we're trained to click twice to edit. Seems weird that it doesn't work. :)
