    @neoman
That's likely the best way at this point.

If someone publishes a game, will they have to use their free month straight after or can we wait and claim it when we want?
  • neomanneoman Member, BASIC Posts: 826
@CodeWizard thank you for getting back to me much appreciated ..

Can we use the same keystore for each app we create. Also the same for the MD5 Signature for every app we create. Or do we need separate ones?

    Thanks
  • neomanneoman Member, BASIC Posts: 826
@games4fun I use the same one for all my apps ;-)

i got a message from amazon, congrats your app is now ready to be downloaded and used by amazon customers, but in the developer portal i see this -general information-developer select-sorry-fail game circle, what is game circle? and do i need game circle to qualify? plus i search on amazon and i cant find my app but i do have the application key that gamesalad wants, so should i request my free month? thanks
  • neomanneoman Member, BASIC Posts: 826
@guilleface Your app will appear in the Amazon Appstore it just takes a couple of days ... Game Circle is the Amazon equivalent of Apple's Game Centre ... You can read about Developer Select here https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/devselect.html#benefits

I accidentally hit the submit button for a Kindle Fire app before it was live on the App Store. The app is scheduled to come out November 8, is there anything that I need to do, or will the promotion still work?

Has anyone else have had long wait times for amazon to approve or deny a app since this has started? Or am I the lucky one :-w
  • neomanneoman Member, BASIC Posts: 826
@mounted88 I have just started publishing to Amazon. I have had no problems with approvals ... I expected each app to be approved within a week but the approval process has been completed in two to three days ... I am very impressed with them and prefer the Amazon AppStore to Google Play.
  • mounted88mounted88 Member Posts: 1,113
Well that is normally how it's been for me but right now one of my apps is going on 3 weeks for some reason hmmmm
  • neomanneoman Member, BASIC Posts: 826
I reckon it would be a good idea to send them an email to find out why it is taking so long to be approved ;-)

It took about 4 days for Wboko Monster Blocks to get approved. I have had 1 download since...lol

Also, I drop the price to free and that took another 3 days after I made the change...apple price price was faster... Crazy!!!

@mounted88 my review times were only 1-2 days (minus the weekends). I agree that you should probably email Amazon.

already emailed them last week and this week and haven't heard anything……damn amazonians

ha ha @BigDave just hit Cancel App Submission then submit again when you are ready ... I am surprised it let you submit the app with no binary ... And no you have not broken anything ... Hope this helps ;-)

So i worked through the night here in Germany. I have it ready for them to be checked in the amazon store. One question!

    Im a free user!
Im able to release Kindle to Amazon store.
In Binary options there is this:
    image

DO I LEAVE THE FIRST ONE SELECTED TO GET APPROVED or is this the paying members only option?

I think this is the deal but I can't be 100% sure if you use the Kindle target to publish then your APK will only run on a Kindle device ... If you publish to Android it will run on all Android devices ... The reason I say this is one user published to Kindle and I could only run his app on a Kindle and not on a Samsung ... Hope this helps ... Good luck with your app ;-)

PS: You need to be a pro user to publish to Android target so if you published to the Kindle target then I would only select Kindle ... I also recommend testing your app as an ad hoc before you submit it ... ;-)

@CodeWizard - what about the permissions in our GameSalad builds which are still causing lots of negative reviews on the Amazon App Store, and seriously hurting sales?
Do you still plan to allow us to opt-out of these?

See my other thread to see the sort of reviews I'm talking about:

@DigiChain just a quick note. I installed AVG on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and all apps that were packaged with 0.10.4.1 were fine. My other games which were packaged with older versions of Creator came up as Intrusive Adware ... I was wondering why my apps were being installed and uninstalled on Google Play now I have the answer. If you republish your games with 0.10.4.1 you should be good ... Also the permissions on the binary produced using 0.10.4.1 are as follows which should be ok. I am not sure what permissions were set with older versions of Creator but a friend of mine installed one of my games and told me that it wanted access to her phonebook which is not good ...

    Permissions based on the MANIFEST

    android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE; android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE; android.permission.INTERNET; android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE; android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Permissions listed on the Amazon AppStore under the App

Read only access to phone state
    Open network sockets
    Write to external storage
    Access information about Wi-Fi networks
    Access information about networks

The above permissions look good to me. I can't comment on what they were previously but @CodeWizard might be able to confirm and clarify a little more ... Cheers ;-)
