Test App on Kindle Fire
Amazon noob question:
How can I test my app on a kindle fire? I have signed up as a developer on amazon and have most of the app info done. I just don't know how to get/what, a keystore and zipalign is.

When you publish a app on the publish, after filling in all your info hit generate app. Give it about a minute or 2 and refresh the browser. You will have a new notification that says your app is ready, click the link that's in the notification to start the signing process.
Select your key store and enter your password, hit enter and do it again and hit next. Then it will have you select where to save your .apk files (1 signed, 1unsigned) I upload my signed .apk on Dropbox and download it on my kindle from drop box to test it.
This should more then enough info to get you started in the right path, if you run into any other issues, you can always google your question and type gamesalad after the question and I'm sure you will come across a video to help you. Also search the forums and check out the cookbook for help.
Good luck
If you don't see your 'Home Folder' in your 'Finder' then here's how to get to it. Open your 'Finder' at the very top of your screen select 'Go' then you should see your 'Home Folder' there to select. If you don't see it there then her is the short cut to get to your 'Home Folder' Open your 'Finder' then on your keyboard press "Shift", "Command", "H" which will launch your 'Home Folder'! Hope that helps!
I just did all this a little less than a week ago and everything came out fine!
I'm not actually sure if I renamed the folder so that might be why, but if you follow the cookbook section for setting up a keystore it will work.
