What are the causes for lag problem?

I have a game, and it's about to be done...the only problem is that on some device's it has that annoying lag...
What can be the causes of those lags? It can be only the device performance that it's causing lags?
(I'm asking you this because on other android devices works perfectly...)

    That's the first issue! It's on Android. Android is all over the board and a pain to develop for.
