Camera question

My game was designed in legacy iPhone 480x320 and I am trying to set it up for iPhone 5. I need to keep the same aspect ratio and just have the sides filled by black bars. My background is blue so I can't use letterbox when publishing because it use the background colour for the the bars and I want them black.

The game scrolls vertically and is 1440 high. I was thinking of attaching a black bar either side of the HUD layer and offsetting the camera by -44 px. Is it possible to move the camera past 0 into the negative area of the background or is there a better way?

Probably the best way to do it would be changing the background colour to black and using a blue actor for the background.

Thanks for replying Manto I had thought of that but thought I would ask the question anyway incase there was a better way. I created another two layers and moved everything from the background layer to a new layer below the HUD layer then put an actor on the other layer above the background layer and made it no scrollable. It works fine.

This new actor is 512x380 since it is all blue should I break it into smaller actors?

@colander It's better to use just one actor for the background. More actors would just decrease the performance.
