Vertically Center Text?

In the trivia game I'm working on I have some questions that are long and some that are short. The short ones look a little weird way at the top but the long ones require a tall text area. Is there a way to center text vertically as well as horizontally so that the short questions can be a bit closer to the options underneath? image

Hard to say. I guess if you're grabbing the question from table you could make another column as a booleans. For the short answers, change that column to true. In your display actor, if that column and row is true, move the actor.position.y to actor.position.y-30, for example.

That's one solution, just a little tedious.

I am pulling from a table. I tried adding a /n before the questions but that just got rendered to the screen.

So you tried that? Not at a Mac right now, but will do a test run when I get home.

Yes, no quotes, just added /n and a space before some of the short questions but the /n just appeared on the screen. lol

Why not try my method above?

I could do like you suggested and add a boolean but I already am moving the textarea based on whether it's an iPhone 5 or 4. Seems like it could get rather tricky. I'll give it a shot though. :)

I'm not understanding the problem but if you want a newline, you need to enclose the \n in quotes.

Edit: okay, I get it now. Braydon's advice seems good.

Hi @richcoy You can put your Table entries in the cells with their line breaks as you require by using alt return.
