Can android apps be monetized with advertisements?

I was wondering if it's possible for android apps to be monetized with adsense or any other advertising network? I'm thinking about getting gamesalad for £90 as it's currently on a deal for students at studica.com and it's quite a big investment for me because I don't have that much money at the moment so I want to be able to make it back. I tried searching for it on google but surprisingly I cannot find any results other than questions dated back to 2011.

    Not at the moment. Only play haven is available and I believe that it is only available for iOS.

    But bear in mind - A update is coming soon with monetization options for Chartboost and RevMob, which will likely include android monetization.

    Adsense will not be available..

    Playhaven has been great for the community - and as @uptimistik stated, we are working on implementing Playhaven for Android. I will be happy to update when I have more information."

    Any more news on this? Mobclix is out and Playhaven is already in GS for iOS. I have a playhaven account ready to go too. All we need is a little love from GS to take playhaven for android to the finish line. (I understand it's not that simple in practice, but we need a replacement to monetize)
