Bundle ID - when is it created?

Apologies for my ignorance but when do you create the Bundle ID?

During the creation of the development certificate? provisioning profile? or some other time?

- the bundle ID is the address you set when creating a prov profile.

e.g. com.xxx.xxx

Bundle I'd also know as the app ID is created before you make a provisioning profile. This ID is what identifies the app.
