Free 2D Game Art
So I've been learning Inkscape to draw art for my games and I love it! I am almost getting addicted and sometimes I just need something to draw so heres the deal:
I will probably only have time for one person a week or so so don't be too upset if I don't draw something for you.
It can be anything from UI to characters and animations. My favorite things are mechanical stuff like helicopters and robots but I can do other stuff.
It would be very much appreciated if you could please add some credit in your games to mine if you use this art.
Thanks!

Hows this?

I couldn't get a mohawk to look right so I just gave him devil horns.
My best shot at a stone wall:
Think of the contrast in your image - the hands get lost as they have the same colour as the body - by adding more highlight you can bring them out nicely. By adding some extra highlight to the ball shape it will look less boring - a radial fill as a base is fine but some added detail - e.g. a secondary light, a bit of added shine and some shadow from the cap - will make a big difference with very little effort.
This quick try in inkscape might show what I mean:
Keep up the work but try and look at reference images, look at how others did this sort of art [e.g. there is heaps and heaps of smiley illustrations out there [which basically is your ball with eyes and expresssions] and add that little bit of polish. It's a sure way to improve your skills.
Wow I see what you mean haha, yours is a lot better. I did those images pretty fast. I'll be sure to take more time on them as I can make better art.
People and faces aren't my forte haha. I do use google images most of the time. I actually used this as a reference image for the police cap but I can see why I should've used a more modern one
Thanks for the tips. Your a really good artist and I hope to be half as good as you someday.
I guess this is way I'm offering it for free haha.
Thanks!
@allc1865 thanks!
Keep up the good work!
