While porting our game Puck it to Tizen, I discovered that Tizen also exported an HTML 5 version of my game. There seem to be some slight issues with sound but that just maybe related to the audio file format.

I actually mentioned this in the Tizen publishing support the other day when I was trying to using the web simulator to test game.

As matter of fact was you able to get the Web simulator to load game? I couldn't but was able to activate all the web developer tools on what you showed.

I didn't try but I did test it in Safari, it seemed to work the best as the music files played, Firefox, it played but no sound at all and Chrome, it never would load just the spinning load wheel.

This is a very good thing! I try in chrome and the game doesn't work... now I put in my server and test, and the results were: The game is redirect to gamesalad website...

Did you put all the files on the site? I image the index file needs to be edited or the JS file.

It does seem somehow GS is blocking it's use online by a redirect somewhere. I imagine this might be a pro feature coming if not it should be a pro feature as it's all there as one can see.

@FryingBaconStudios yes, I put all files and after I saw the files. In index dosen't have nothing to change... I think is something in file gse-interpreter.jsx because if you take off the game don't load.

I looked through most of the code and couldn't yet locate where the redirect is or if it's a lack of a correct file path. Maybe when the team gets back we can get some answers on this.

@FryingBaconStudios I was able to locate the redirect in gse-interpreter.jsx. I was also able to change it to pokemon.com, by using textwrangler and cmd+f to searching for "gamesalad". I don't know if the code is deleteable though..

If it helps Dave, I have noticed Safari only plays M4as and not GS .ogg - does Safari sup but doing a search on the web, there could be a few add-ons I am looking into(running Windows so not sure if it will work).

And, I went to full screen and the game worked fine. If I had the smaller browser(Portrait), things would be messy but as soon as I maxed the browser, clicked inside the game - everything appeared to work - including the music(which is m4a

@oskardeveloper excellent I have text wrangler and will look at it. I image you just need to point that to the complete URL of the index file. Will test this out tomorrow.

@FryingBaconStudios The mac text editor works as well. I think it might actually work better in this case :P
I tried and it turned into an infinite loop of the website refreshing..

HTML5 Export is a project we have in the works. The work and technology that goes into supporting publishing targets like Tizen is part of our greater strategy to reach the broadest possible market of HTML5 platforms. That being said, we must say that tinkering with the output of published GameSalad builds is not supported, is likely to result in bugs, and for some cases may violate the Terms of Use.

Thanks for the clarification. It would be nice to have the ability to do straight HTML 5 web publishing for pro users. It seems to be 90% there as even a complex game as mine runs well although not perfect. This would open up a new source of development as I get requests from major clients for small HTML 5 games for websites.

"...is part of our greater strategy to reach the broadest possible market of HTML5 platforms."

That sounds great, I hope it happens sooner than later!

If you can run your game in web preview (seems to kick on some local web server) with references to some file(s) in GS server without any limitations. You probably could download all the files offline with httrack or similar software and just upload these to your local web server. Latest nightlys shouldnt have any limitations on web preview resolution. so IMHO next stable release should be able to produce decent html5.
