I just downloaded the free Gamesalad on my laptop and cant create my own actors

Hey guys, so I just got gamesalad for my laptop, and it is really fun! Im new to coding/programming so I'm bad at it :P. When I click actors, it says to drag an image. I really want to make my own 8-bit characters, but don't know how. Could you please tell me how? Thanks :D

    You need to design and make your characters in something like Photoshop (or whatever image / design software you like) - and then you can import the images into GameSalad.

    Think of it as a puppet show where GS is the stage. You need to provide the puppets to the stage to make them dance. Okay. I'm bad with analogies!

    As a starter try Pixelmator. It's no photoshop but you can create and export .png images for use in Gamesalad
